The People Behind the Mission: Meet MOCEO's Board of Directors

Every strong organization is built on the people who believe in its mission — and at MOCEO, we're fortunate to have an exceptional group of leaders guiding our work. Our volunteer Board of Directors brings deep, diverse expertise in employee ownership, from legal and financial strategy to business development and community outreach. Their commitment is what makes it possible for us to show up for business owners, employees, advisors, and partners across Missouri.

Meet Our Board:

Amy Loth Allen serves as Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel at ESS Companies, Inc., bringing legal expertise and firsthand experience operating within an employee-owned organization.

Rich Armstrong is a Senior Coach at The Great Game of Business, where he helps companies build cultures of ownership and transparency — principles at the heart of the employee ownership movement.

Kjersti Cory is an ESOP Trustee at SCJ Fiduciary Services, providing critical oversight and fiduciary guidance to employee-owned companies navigating complex transitions.

Brad Dunn is the Chief Executive Officer at CK Supply Inc., offering executive leadership experience and a business owner's perspective on the value of shared ownership.

Mason Eisenberg serves as Vice President at GreatBanc Trust Company, one of the nation's leading ESOP trustees, bringing financial acumen and transactional expertise to our board.

Jill Hathaway is the Regional Director of the Missouri Small Business Development Center at UMKC, connecting small business owners with resources and pathways — including employee ownership — as they plan for the future.

Steve Storkan is the Executive Director of The Employee Ownership Expansion Network, a national leader in growing the employee ownership ecosystem and a tireless champion for this work.

We are deeply grateful for the time, talent, and passion each of these individuals brings to MOCEO's mission. Together, we're building a stronger, more equitable Missouri — one employee-owned business at a time.

Focus on Missouri: Hurtt Fabricating Corp

Not all heroes wear capes — some weld them. Meet Hurtt Fabricating Corp., an employee-owned metal fabrication company based in Marceline, Missouri, that has quietly built the infrastructure that keeps America moving since 1966.

Specializing in custom-engineered highway overhead and ground-mount signage, bridge railings, safety fence frameworks, and structural components for state transportation departments across the country, Hurtt Fabricating is a testament to what employee ownership looks like in practice. Their in-house team of certified welders and inspectors takes pride in delivering quality work, on time, and at competitive prices — because when you own a piece of the business, that standard is personal.

Beyond their core fabrication work, Hurtt Fabricating also offers storage solutions and has built long-standing partnerships throughout the highway construction industry. Decades of experience, a commitment to craftsmanship, and an ownership culture that empowers every team member — that's the Hurtt Fabricating way.

We're proud to spotlight businesses like Hurtt Fabricating that embody the promise of employee ownership: keeping good jobs in Missouri communities, rewarding the people who show up every day, and building something that lasts.
